Download a half-life mod, from where-ever (I suggest RunThinkShootLive). Anyways, I have managed to find a fix here I'll rewrite it here in order to make the fix more general. I remember there being a couple of people who were unable to run the original half-life mods on os x (and this fix applies for linux as well 1).
